Australia Trips – Where’s the Best Place to Have an Adventurous Trip?

If you’re planning a great trip with some friends, or even alone to do some soul searching, one of the best places to go is Australia. With its rugged outback, wondrous landmarks such as Ayer’s Cliff (now known as Uluru), and exceptional wildlife, Australia is your destination for a good time. There are activities and packages available depending on the type of trip you’re looking for. Well known for its landscapes and beauty, an Australia trip will keep you buzzing for a long time.

Wildlife

If whale or dolphin watching is something you’ve always wanted to try, then it’s something you can add to your adventure. Dolphin watching is available all year. Whale watching is only available during certain times of the year, being from June to November. This is quite a large window, so planning within those months shouldn’t be too difficult. Seeing Humpback Whales swimming freely in the ocean is a privilege that should not be missed.

An Australia trip wouldn’t be an adventure without taking a wilderness safari in the outback. There are a few different package options available when you take a safari. The price will vary depending on whether you take a one week or two week trip.

Hiking Uluru or Mt. Kilimanjaro are very popular activities among adventurers. With some amazing water holes, and dark caves; there is no lack of exploration.

Aquatic Sports

Learning to surf on the beaches or kayaking on the rivers and lakes should be a part of any Australia trip. You also have the options of selecting white water rafting tours. These are available in several different areas such as Southwest Tasmania and Western Australia.

Scuba diving is also something that a person should include in their trip, especially on the western coast of Australia in the Great Barrier Reef. There are other places along the coast that are great for snorkelling and scuba diving with dolphins, sea turtles, and so many other diverse species.

Sky Adventures

Skydiving, ballooning and paragliding are wonderful adventures that take you to the sky. For obvious reasons, these are activities that can be enjoyed by adults only, except for ballooning. Children over the age of six years old are generally old enough. These activities are available in most cities across Australia. Ballooning involves some fabulous views. Many Australia packages also include all of the activities mentioned above. Helicopter rides and small plain rides are another way to see Australia from the air. The flights aren’t too expensive, and well worth it.

Paragliding is also quite popular for adventurers. It is somewhat in the same area as parachuting, but a little bit harder. You need to soar and follow wind currents. This is not something that should be done by amateurs. There are lessons available on location.

Whatever activities you decide to plan, your Australia trip will be the best without a doubt. You should be ready for some surf, sunshine, eating, and adventure.
